Men's Centers
The Men’s House was the first recovery residence established by HUB Transition Centers. Today, HUB operates two men’s recovery homes in Greenwood, South Carolina, providing housing for up to 21 men who are working toward long-term recovery and stability.
Our homes operate using the Oxford House Model, an approach that has been widely studied and proven to produce stronger long-term outcomes than many traditional recovery assistance programs. This model emphasizes personal responsibility, peer support, and community accountability.
Resident Expectations
Residents contribute a modest weekly fee and participate in maintaining the home. Each house operates democratically, with residents participating in decision-making through majority rule.
The four core expectations for residents include:
-
Paying program fees
-
Maintaining complete abstinence from alcohol and drugs
-
Refraining from threatening or disruptive behavior
-
Participating in regular recovery and faith-based support gatherings
Research on the Oxford model has shown significantly improved outcomes in areas such as sobriety, employment, and long-term housing stability.
In addition to peer accountability, HUB Centers are supported by certified professionals and trained peer counselors with expertise in addiction recovery, mental health support, and life skills development. These individuals help guide the overall operations of the program and provide additional support to residents throughout their recovery journey.
